![]() This game will come out one day, I just think it's immoral how you've chosen to get there. Like I said, ultimately I'm open to being proved wrong but for now my point stands. I know you're going to ask for specifics, but I can't remember exactly what was said and I'm not going to dig for it now, but it's out there for anyone wanting to find it. It's not even close to being enough material, in my opinion, for the amount of money being grossed.Īnd to add to your other point about a 2022 release date never being promised or implied, I'd argue it was strongly implied multiple times that the developers were going to release the game this year, or at the very least share the release date. I was an active member of the discord for a long time, and friends with people who were part of the Patreon, so I'm well aware of the kind of material the "team" distributes. You're equally hoping this project succeeds, so like a pyramid-scheme, you get something out of it if other people share the same blind optimism you do. ![]() You're not only a moderator, but someone giving money to the devs. It's in your best interest to push their project on more people because you hold some "skin" in it, so to speak. It's also hard to take the argument from someone who serves the developers. The whole philosophy is "this game is being built in secret, with no end in sight, and if you want to see what we're doing then give us your money or don't say anything at all". I'm open to being proved wrong, but as someone else correctly pointed out, encouraging more people to fall for this scam project in order to be proven wrong, actually proves our point further, and does nothing to debunk it. Subscribers (myself included) know exactly what we see every week, after all. This is just something to keep in mind to hopefully quell the concerns based on mere assumptions. Then again, they do occasionally (and publicly) show stuff on Discord. To a nonsubscriber, I imagine it can seem like the game isn't being worked on. ![]() Originally posted by Wed:Have either of you (the last two posters) subscribed to the Paralives Patreon for weekly developmental updates for as low as $1/month? The small team of devs have not missed a single week in a few years of overly detailed game development blogs, along with screenshots, videos, and lots of info, including the technical/nerdy stuff.
